PROCURING FINANCIAL BENEFITS AND PRIVILEGES: An unending campaign to make boating more affordable, through low dues rates, negotiations with suppliers of goods and services, and consumer satisfaction programs.

BOATING EDUCATION AND SAFETY: Promoting and coordinating currently available programs, and performing in-depth research regarding future educational needs, as well as sponsorship of professional seminars.

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS: Monitoring all laws and regulations impacting recreational boating, informing the membership of legislative activity, and lobbying as may be necessary to protect recreational boating in Maine.

BOATING LAW ENFORCEMENT: Campaigning for adequate, effective and consistent law enforcement afloat, on all of Maine's waters, and promoting awareness dealing with irresponsible and reckless behavior.

ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AND PROTECTION: Support for all environmental protection laws which preserve Maine's waterways and watersheds, and fostering good stewardship among all of Maine's boating public.

SHARING SURFACE WATER RESOURCES: Maintaining dialogue with all stakeholders to minimize surface conflicts, and promoting understanding of laws, regulations, rights and privileges as they apply to the waters and lands.

PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS: Developing print and electronic publications designed to inform the membership of relevant issues, ongoing media contact, stakeholder networking, and building better databases.
